PAY BEFORE YOU PUMP
Police located a man who pumped $25 in fuel at a gas station on Main Street and drove off. The man agreed to pay the fee and no charges were filed.
BAGBOMB
A McKinley Street resident discovered a hand grenade while cleaning her parent’s basement and told her son to take it to the police station in a bag. The son called the police, who referred the case to the bomb squad. The grenade was transported in the back of a dump truck to a site in Falmouth where it was blown up. Officers say the grenade was live.
NIGHT OUT NIGHTMARE
Residents on D Street arrived home and discovered the underaged babysitter was drunk and her 21-year-old boyfriend was in the house. Police arrived and discovered amounts of marijuana hidden throughout the house. The boyfriend was brought to Cumberland County Jail, where a cavity search discovered more marijuana. He is facing several drug possession charges as well as violation of bail, furnishing alcohol to a minor and carrying a concealed weapon – a folding knife.
