The Town & Country Federal Credit Union office on Main Street in South Portland recently made a donation of $2,000 to the South Portland Food Cupboard. Seeing all the work we were doing to prepare for the Thursday Food Cupboard morning, they offered to help. So, for the past three weeks two to three of the credit union’s staff come to the cupboard Wednesday mornings and volunteer their time in helping us stock and set up for Thursday  morning. We were terribly impressed with the top staff volunteering first and promising this to be an ongoing volunteer project for them. We are delighted with the extra help, honored that they chose us, and very grateful for their support.

 The Food Cupboard is now sharing food with more than 100 men, women and children a week. We have seen a significant increase in need this past year.
