Letter: Urging you to protect freedom (Dec. 12, 2008)

Editor:

Some time the way life change is like a mystery or a dream. I started a new life in 1998 when I left my country, I couldn’t believe what was going on was a true reality but it was. What can you do if your family tell you one day, you are not a member of their family any more? From now on, you do not belong to this family. It looks impossible, right? It happened to me and to all my tribe. Many of us was in a refugee camp, because we were not accepted as Congolese. Now I belong to the U.S.A. and I am grateful because I have freedom. In conclusion, I want to tell you how lucky you are maybe without noticing it. You have freedom that no one can take away from you. Please I am asking you to come together to protect our freedom, so others will learn to value it also.
