    Statement about candidacy: I am running because I
care deeply about children’s education. As a teacher, tutor, coach,
parent and community volunteer, I have dedicated most of my adult life
to making a positive difference in children’s lives. I’ve experienced
how the classroom works and how a school operates. I also understand
the level of commitment necessary to achieve goals set forth by the
School Board and school administrators. My husband and I chose to live
in Cape Elizabeth largely due to the high quality of the schools and I
am eager to contribute my skills and experience as a professional
educator to help maintain that excellence. I hope to have the
opportunity to work hard on behalf of the children and families of Cape
Elizabeth.
